New hazard tactile introduced

G-Tech have just supplied its first hazard tactile into the market at the Ashstead Station refurbishment. The new tactile meets all Network Rail standards and is supplied in a bright semi-fluorescent yellow. The tactile has been developed as a method of further highlighting the dangers of the platform edge and is being seen as a replacement for the existing mandatory painted yellow line. The tactile is manufactured in exactly the same manner as existing tactiles producing a unit that the colour runs through overcoming the fade found with painted lines over time.
