Habrough Station

With the introduction of four-car trains on the Habrough line in particular; it was noted that the last carriage was encroaching on the level crossing and an extension to both platforms 1 and 2 was constructed. This was constructed using the G-Tech coper, which was used to blend and mirror the existing traditional coper and tactile arrangements.

Colt Construction Services were asked to tender for the works in early 2014, and successfully won the contract. Doing so they had included in their tender to use the G-Tech Coper. The pristine finish on a platform where our coper had been used was one of the major factors why Colt pushed to have a station finished with the units.

People who have worked with Colt Construction are now more aware G-Tech is part of the company, at Colt we specialise in building works, stations and signal boxes so the copers were laid at Habrough on a series of night shifts, completed in late October 2014 by Colt Construction.
